Are you looking for a list of songs for your wedding that are unique…and haven’t been played so much to the point they are waaayyyy overdone?
Maybe you want to play a few songs that haven’t been used at every single wedding you’ve attended this past year? Something other than Ed Sheeran’s cult, classic hit “Thinking Out Loud”? It’s a beautiful song, of course, and in fifty years our grandchildren will probably pick it for their first dance, too…. but maybe you want to be more unique. Am I right?
My hubby and I actually danced to “Better Then Love” by Griffin House for our first dance. When I picked the song, I was driving down the road and it came on the radio. I quickly had to Shazam it, so I would remember the song! I had never heard it before, and I certainly had never heard anyone else play the song for their first dance. I instantly fell in love with the lyrics. To me there was nothing more romantic than dancing with my new hubby, and hearing the lyrics “…. there’s no one else in the world, you will always be, always be my girl”.
I think several of these songs are perfect for a first dance or even a processional or recessional. What do you think? What songs would you add to our unique wedding playlist?
