Our Bridal Bootcamp Tips can help you with your weight loss journey.
1. Set a Specific Time
Make a specific time each day that you will workout—it’s a lifestyle choice. They say it takes about two months to make working out a habit. That means, you need to consistently make the choice to go and workout at your specified time to make it a habit. Make a goal and stick to it by making working out part of your daily routine!
2. Set a Goal
Set a goal to work out a few times a week and stick to it. Nobody said it was going to be easy, so don’t give up! You made a goal to get fit, so remember the reason why you set your goals in the first place. To help inspire your weight loss goal, print off a picture of your wedding dress, swimsuit, a before picture of you—whatever your ultimate goal is—and tape it to your bathroom mirror as a daily reminder of your goal! You can do it!
3. Reward Yourself
At the end of the month, and you’ve accomplished your starting goal, by working out daily, treat yourself! Celebrate your success—buy yourself those skinny jeans you’ve been wanting! You totally deserve it!
4. Bring a Friend
To keep yourself accountable, find a friend to hit the gym with you, or get a personal trainer. If someone is counting on you to go to the gym with, then that will keep you accountable. Plus, if you have someone that knows your goals, they are going to help keep you on the right track!
5. Stay Hydrated
Drinking plenty of water is key to working out. Some people believe that not drinking water while working out helps. However, you need to stay hydrated, your body needs plenty of water while working out.
6. Start Small
Don’t try to overwork yourself. Start small, and work your way up. Get your heart flowing with cardio.
7. No Excuses
Don’t make excuses that you don’t have time with your work schedule, family, or wedding plans. Even thirty minutes a day is enough to do a small workout, and keep your workout routine in check.
8. Track Progress
Keep a fitness journal to track your fitness journey. Write down what you did each day in your workout, and you will be amazed when you are able to do more pushups or increase the pounds of your weights. In your fitness journal include your initial weight, and your ultimate weight goal. Each week, right down your weight and track the progress you’re making.
9. Eat Right
You can’t just workout, not eat right, and then truly expect to see results. When planning your meals, chose healthy options and cut down on your sugar intake. Cutting down sugars is one way that will help you lose weight! For your meal options, think whole grains, veggies, and fruits.
10. Choose a Workout Program
You don’t have to pay a lot of money to workout at a gym. Planet Fitness is $10.00 a month.
P90X is a great option for someone who wants to be able to workout on their own schedule. I wouldn’t recommend this to someone that is just starting to workout, this is more of an advanced workout regimen. However, it is a one-time expense after you buy the video.
9 Round is another advanced workout. The 30 minutes provides a customized workout regimen with a trainer that works every muscle.
Orangetheory Fitness is similar to 9 Round, and is a cardio regimen that is in a group setting. Orangetheory focuses on muscle endurance, strength, and weight loss.
Pure Barre is a 55 minute class that will give you a full-body workout that focuses on the things women want to shape up—all by using the ballet barre. If you’re a bride-to-be, check out this awesome deal just for you at Pure Barre! If not, don’t worry, they have a $100 special for new members that includes unlimited classes.
11. Bring Headphones
Music will motivate you, and get your heart pumping. You can download our playlist of 15 Motivating Workout Songs. A cool app to have for music during your workout is Fit Radio. On Fit Radio, DJs are mixing all types of music.
12. Don’t Give Up
Don’t expect to see results over night! It will take a couple of pounds or inches to come off before you or anyone else will notice results. Don’t give up! Think about why you started your weight loss journey, go back to your inspiration picture. Don’t give up if you stop working out for a days, get back on track.
No matter why you started your weight loss journey, you CAN do it! I believe in you, and know you can accomplish your goal! So who is getting fit in 2016?
